Owner. Katie is a graduate of Maryville College with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art. Her preferred tattoo movements are realism of any type and neo-traditional. She loves a conceptual challenge! What is the reason for your project? What's the message or purpose behind it? Not sure? Let us help you! Artist's love problem solving and creating solutions. Let us know every detail of what your idea is. Input is the most crucial at this stage.

Guidance

A successful tattoo relies heavily on the skills and experience of your artist. Let us help you find the best artist for you and your tattoo. The artist of choice will come up with the preliminary plan for your project at this stage. Listening to guidance on art rules (line, edge, value structure) of the tattoo will help us in creating the best piece possible.

Preliminary art

This is the stage where you can see a mock-up or rough visual version of what your artist has plans to execute. Some artists may charge a deposit or percentage fee before or after this process begins and more input is still welcome. Any stages need to be suggested during this stage.

Refining

This is the fun part and when communication with your artist is most important. Rest assured your artist is busy working away to arrive at completion and wishes nothing more than to give you the best experience possible. The thrill on your face when you see our work is one of the most rewarding aspects of this stage.

Aftercare

Your tattoo is finished and the care is now up you. You become 50% responsible at this stage for how the tattoo heals. Be sure you listen carefully to all the instructions for the care of your tattoo while it's healing and how to best maintain longevity of the piece.

Book Your Stay

Continuum Gallery's amenities enable us to host eventful overnight stays right in the heart of down town Hendersonville. We love to curate activities for you to enjoy while you're with us such as, art lessons, dance lessons, hiking, dining, etc. Book a full day session and receive one free night in our private studio loft apartment as well as an adventure liaison to gather information or create an itinerary for your stay. We also make this available to Guest or Artists in Residence to ensure a relaxing art retreat in an area known for its plein air.

What is a Guest Artist?

Guest artists often visit for one week to one month at a time before returning to their current studios. Some artists visit more frequently than others. If you would like to request booking time with one of our recurring guests, you may do so via email in the contact form here.
